It’s summer in Glasgow, with the schools off and the Fair Fortnight underway.
It means the city’s a little quieter than usual, but that doesn’t mean that there’s not plenty on.

5. Weatherday
If you like your music loud then you'll probably be aware of Glasgow's Core Festival and its aim to provide a "celebration of noise". Festival organisers also organise a series of concerts throughout the years and the latest, noise-pop project Weatherday is playing Stereo tonight, supported by Cheramona. Expect to hear plenty of tracks from latest album 'Hornet Disaster' - and don't forget the earplugs. Tickets are £12. | Contributed

6. Enjoy a free guided walk
Head along to Darnley Mill car park, on Corselet Road, at the beautiful Dams to Darnley Country Park at 10am this morning and you can join a Darnley Countryside Ranger for a walk through the park. Suitable for all ages, the walk covers around four miles and takes around two hours. It's free and there's no need to book. | Canva/Getty Images

7. Get learning at the Burrell Collection
The Burrell Collection, in Glasgow's Pollok Country Park, is one of the jewels in the city's museum crown. It's free to enter and worth a visit anytime, but today you can also enjoy a specially curated talk about the history and context of a particular object from the collection, delivered by curators, gallery assistants, volunteer guides and more. Just go to the meeting point screen near reception at 12.30pm to take part. | Getty Images

8. Family films at a nice price
