Scotland open their 2026 Guinness Six Nations campaign on Saturday against Italy in Rome and Gregor Townsend will name his team on Thursday.
There were injury concerns around Jack Dempsey (foot), Jamie Dobie (knee), Dave Cherry (calf) and Ewan Ashman (neck) but all are now on the mend.
Here's what I think the starting XV will look like as the Scots look to make a winning start in the championship for the sixth year in a row.

13. Huw Jones
Missed first half of season after Achilles op but back up to speed with Glasgow Warriors and ready to resume Test centre partnership with Sione Tuipulotu. | SNS Group

14. Jamie Dobie
Glasgow Warriors back has been outstanding this season and as comfortable on wing as he is at scrum-half. Top try-scorer in URC and likely to be a straight choice between Dobie and Darcy Graham for the right-wing berth. | SNS Group / SRU

15. Blair Kinghorn
Has turned out at 10 and on the wing for Toulouse this season but likely to be at full-back in Rome. | SNS Group / SRU
