Scotland had to dig deep to secure a bonus point win against Fiji at Murrayfield as the replacements made all the difference in the second half.
Gregor Townsend’s side trailed 17-7 at half time but the introduction of key players like Sione Tuipulotu, Pierre Schoeman and Jamie Dobie from the bench helped them claw it back and ultimately win the Test reasonably comfortably. For long periods though, it was anything but and many of the players who featured in the first half failed to make the grade.
Here are our player ratings from Scotland’s Nations Championship win over the Flying Fijians at Murrayfield:

13. Ollie Smith - 5
Like the rest of the back line there was just no joy to be had in the first 40. Once the game opened up he made some good passes. | SNS Group

14. Darcy Graham - 5
Treated his body like it was leased as he made big tackles on big men. A hard defensive shit but ball didn't come to his hands nearly often enough. | SNS Group

15. Tom Jordan - 6
Very little opportunity to attack from deep and when he did he couldn't break the monstrous Fijian line. Once again, things opened up after the break and he grew into the game more. | SNS Group / SRU

16. Replacements (forwards)
The introduction of Schoeman and Fagerson changed the game and they both immediately added a ball carrying threat (both 8s). Scott Cummings chipped in with a try (6). Liam McConnell and Magnus Bradbury freshened things up at key points in the match (both 6s). Seb Stephen on later for debut (4). | SNS Group / SRU
