Scotland were edged out by New Zealand once again after losing 25-17 to the All Blacks in a gripping match at Murrayfield.
Scotland trailed 17-0 at the interval as the visitors - despite having Leroy Carter yellow-carded - threatened to run away with a win after tries from Cam Roigard and Will Jordan.
It was to Scotland’s immense credit that they rallied after the break and the score was pegged back to 17-17 on the hour mark after tries from Ewan Ashman and Kyle Steyn and seven points from Finn Russell.
The All Blacks, however, showed why the are one of the best teams in the world and a try and penalty from replacement Damian McKenzie late on put the game out of Scotland’s reach.
It means Scotland’s wait for a win over New Zealand goes on, with the record now two draws and 31 defeats against the All Blacks.
We give the players a mark out of ten for their performance.

9. Ben White
Linked up nicely with Russell in the half-back combination. Gave away one first-half penalty but played his part in resurgence and came very close to scoring a try. Taken off for Dobie. 6 | SNS Group / SRU

10. Finn Russell
New Zealand went physical on the talisman early on. Needed to have his knee taped up on 17 minutes after one particular collision. Great kick to earn lineout on 25 minutes close to tryline. He was a big part of the fightback despite a clear ailment. Eventually made way for Jordan with the clock ticking down. 7 | SNS Group / SRU

11. Kyle Steyn
His selection raised eyebrows given he replaced Duhan van der Merwe on the wing, but the Glasgow Warriors captain more than justified himself. Finished his try well but it was all about his defensive work and aerial battles. Try-saving tackle on Barrett to keep New Zealand's advantage to seven points early on set the tone. 8 | SNS Group / SRU

12. Sione Tuipulotu
Took the game to the All Blacks. One of Scotland's top carriers. Usual leadership credentials but couldn't drive his team over the line. 6 | SNS Group / SRU
