Out of the Scottish Cup and six points off the pace in the Scottish Premiership title race, Rangers are facing a second successive season without silverware as they approach the final nine games of the campaign.
Winning just one of their opening seven games under former head coach Russell Martin, his replacement Danny Rohl faced an uphill battle to drag Rangers back into contention for the league title when appointed in October.
Despite taking them to within two points of the summit last month, draws against Motherwell, Livingston and Celtic have proven costly in their quest to wrestle the top spot away from Hearts, with Rohl’s team now in third place.
Set to enter his second transfer window as Ibrox boss this summer, the 36-year-old head coach will be hopeful of adding to his squad as he looks to restore Rangers to their former glories. However, as it so often does, new arrivals will likely see others depart as the club prepares for another summer of change.
With movement anticipated in the summer transfer window, The Scotsman take a look at the 16 players who could leave Rangers at the end of the season:

9. Nasser Djiga
The Wolves loanee has shown steady improvement after a difficult start at Ibrox, where he was criticised for his lack of concentration. There's no option to buy in his deal, meaning a permanent move feels unlikely, though. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

10. Lyall Cameron

11. Max Aarons
Became Russell Martin's first signing when he joined on loan from AFC Bournemouth in the summer, but the English full-back has struggled for form and currently finds himself behind in the pecking order. A permanent deal is unlikely to be pursued. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

12. Bailey Rice
The teenage midfielder had his season hampered by injury already, and is out of contract in the summer. Compared to two-time English Premier League title winner Nemanja Matic in the past due to his composure and build over his raw athleticism, his future at Rangers is shrouded in doubt.
