Out of the Scottish Cup and six points off the pace in the Scottish Premiership title race, Rangers are facing a second successive season without silverware as they approach the final nine games of the campaign.
Winning just one of their opening seven games under former head coach Russell Martin, his replacement Danny Rohl faced an uphill battle to drag Rangers back into contention for the league title when appointed in October.
Despite taking them to within two points of the summit last month, draws against Motherwell, Livingston and Celtic have proven costly in their quest to wrestle the top spot away from Hearts, with Rohl’s team now in third place.
Set to enter his second transfer window as Ibrox boss this summer, the 36-year-old head coach will be hopeful of adding to his squad as he looks to restore Rangers to their former glories. However, as it so often does, new arrivals will likely see others depart as the club prepares for another summer of change.
With movement anticipated in the summer transfer window, The Scotsman take a look at the 16 players who could leave Rangers at the end of the season:

5. Liam Kelly
The Rangers goalkeeper has made just three starts for the club this season, and is firmly behind Jack Butland in the pecking order. Out of contract in the summer, his Ibrox future is uncertain. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

6. James Tavernier
The long-serving skipper is out of contract at the end of the season, and both club and player have been tight-lipped over whether he will be offered a new deal in the summer. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

7. Nedim Bajrami
The Albanian playmaker has been a bit-part player since his arrival from Sassuolo 18 months ago. Signed for £3.4million on a long-term contract, he's largely flopped at Rangers, who could look to move him on in the summer to make space for new recruits. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

8. Danilo
Returned to the Eredivisie with NEC Nijmegen after struggling to break into the Rangers starting XI under Danny Rohl this season. His new club have an option to buy inserted into the deal, but it remains to be seen if it’ll be activated after the Brazilian failed to score in his first five games for the club. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
