Rangers experienced another turnover during the summer transfer, as former head coach Russell Martin allowed a host of players to depart Ibrox as he reshaped his struggling squad.
Hamza Igamane, Cyriel Dessers, and Vaclav Cerny all left for pastures new in pre-season. However, Martin was unable to revive the club’s fortunes in the early throws of the campaign and found himself sacked after just one win in his opening seven league games in charge of the club.
Long-serving players such as Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence, and Ianis Hagi also waved goodbye to the Glasgow giants upon the expiry of their contracts in the summer. Many of the club’s youngsters went out to gain valuable experience on loan.
Here we look at the 22 Rangers players who moved away from the club before the start of the new campaign, and assess how they have done for their new teams in the first half of the season. Who has found success away from Ibrox - and who regrets their decision to leave?

1. Leon Balogun - Aris Limassol
The veteran Nigerian ended his second stint as a Rangers player at the end of last season, linking up with fellow ex-Ger Connor Goldson at Aris Limassol. His time in the Cypriot top flight has been largely successful, with Balogun starting 10 games and his side sitting just four points off the top of the league. | Andrew Milligan Photo: Andrew Milligan

2. Ianis Hagi - Alanyaspor
After five years at Rangers, the Romanian playmaker left to join Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig upon the expiry of his Ibrox contract. The 27-year-old has been a regular for his new side and has impressed with his performances, scoring twice and assisting another as his side occupies a mid-table position going into the new year. | Ian MacNicol/Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

3. Cole McKinnon - Airdrieonians
The Rangers academy product had to wait a few weeks into the season to find a new club following the expiry of his Ibrox contract, signing for Airdrieonians in late August. The 22-year-old has performed well in the Scottish Championship, despite sitting second-bottom of the table. 4. Mason Munn - Dunfermline Athletic (loan)
After making his debut for Rangers in the Scottish Cup last year, the teenager goalkeeper moved on a season-long loan to Dunfermline Athletic in the summer. He's not played a full 90 minutes in the Scottish Championship since a 3-2 defeat to Ross County in October, though, and is currently behind Deniz Dogan Mehmet in the pecking order. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
