Rangers experienced another turnover during the summer transfer, as former head coach Russell Martin allowed a host of players to depart Ibrox as he reshaped his struggling squad.
Hamza Igamane, Cyriel Dessers, and Vaclav Cerny all left for pastures new in pre-season. However, Martin was unable to revive the club’s fortunes in the early throws of the campaign and found himself sacked after just one win in his opening seven league games in charge of the club.
Long-serving players such as Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence, and Ianis Hagi also waved goodbye to the Glasgow giants upon the expiry of their contracts in the summer. Many of the club’s youngsters went out to gain valuable experience on loan.
Here we look at the 22 Rangers players who moved away from the club before the start of the new campaign, and assess how they have done for their new teams in the first half of the season. Who has found success away from Ibrox - and who regrets their decision to leave?

5. Jose Cifuentes - Toronto FC (loan)
The Ecuadorian is a forgotten man at Ibrox, having spent more time out on loan than actually playing for Rangers since his arrival in the summer of 2023. The MLS is currently in its off-season, but the 26-year-old can be happy with his progress in Canada. 6. Robbie Fraser - Dunfermline Athletic
After playing a key role in Livingston's second-tier title win last season on loan, the 22-year-old full-back opted to depart Ibrox permanently by joining Dunfermline. It has been a move that has worked out well for Fraser, with the defender getting regular first-team football and providing four assists from defence. 7. Tom Lawrence - Perth Glory
Having spent his entire career playing in Britain for the likes of Manchester United, Derby County, and, of course, Rangers, the attacking midfielder made a surprise move to the A-League in October. Just 10 games into their season, the 31-year-old has enjoyed an explosive start to his career down under, bagging his first career hat trick in last week's 3-1 win over Melbourne City. After signing a one-year deal upon his arrival, Lawrence had already admitted he wants to extend his stay with the club beyond the current campaign. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

8. Adam Devine - Free agent
The former Rangers academy product was linked to both Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion last season before he made a loan move to Queen's Park in the Scottish Championship.
