Scotland will make their return to the World Cup in buoyant mood following a fine 4-0 friendly win over Bolivia in New Jersey.
In a far from packed Sports Illustrated stadium in hot and humid conditions, Lawrence Shankland struck with a header in the fifth minute, then set up midfielder Scott McTominay for a well-worked second in the 20th minute before Che Adams added two more before the break.
There should be some caution attached to the optimism as the South Americans demonstrated why they are FIFA-ranked 76 to Scotland’s 43, but nevertheless the Tartan Army are entitled to enjoy added positivity as they look forward to seeing their side back on the big stage against Haiti next weekend.
Here are the ratings for the Scotland players:

9. Ryan Christie
Linked up well with Robertson down the left and set up McTominay's goal. A hard man to leave out of the team on current form despite the options in midfield. 8 | Getty Images

10. Che Adams
Linked up so well with Shankland. Bagged a double. Job well done. 9 | Getty Images

11. Lawrence Shankland
The man in form. Scored the opener with a neat header but did miss a sitter in the second half. Nevertheless, a fine performance. 8 | Getty Images

12. John McGinn
Scotland took their foot off the gas in the second half but McGinn was one of the livelier players after his appearance at the break. 7 | PA
