Scotland are on the search for a new manager after long-serving head coach Steve Clarke’s decision to resign amid their group stage exit at the World Cup.
Following the sudden departure of Clarke, the Scottish FA’s Chief Executive Ian Maxwell admitted that "nothing is off the table" as they begin the search for his successor, with many wondering if the governing body would now actively consider a foreign coach to take the national team forward.
But if Scotland were to consider their first non-Scottish boss since Berti Vogts over two decades ago, which managers would fit the bill? Here, we look at seven foreign managers who could be considered as potential next Scotland manager:

1. Kasper Hjulmand
A vastly experienced international boss, the former Bayer Leverkusen head coach has already been namechecked by pundits and fans alike to due success with the Danish national team. Known for a progressive playing style, and an ability to go deep into tournament teams.

2. Thomas Frank
The former Brentford boss began his coaching journey with the Denmark youth squads, and has proven ability to develop younger talents. He's tactically flexible, and has shown he can maximize a squad's potential with limited resources. Out of work since being sacked at Tottenham Hotspur earlier this year, Frank may fancy taking his career in a different direction. 3. Kjetil Knutsen
A total wildcard option, the Bodo/Glimt boss is one of the highest rated bosses in Europe, but has zero international experience. Known for producing competitive, high-pressing teams, Knutsen has exceeded with the Norwegian champions and seems loyal to them, but could he be tempted by a move to Scotland?

4. Ole Gunnar Solskjær
The Manchester United legend has endured an inconsistent managerial career, but has proven a ability to handle high-pressure environments, while he also has shown a strong focus on youth development. A risky appointment, but with potential high reward if Scotland want to introduce some youngster faces to the starting XI. Linked to the vacant Rangers job last October.
