Former theological college next to Scotland’s spectacular NC500 hits market at £295,000
“We anticipate much interest in this redevelopment opportunity” – Neil Calder, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors
A former college of religion located close to the popular North Coast 500 route has been put up for sale with a six-figure price tag.
The former Highland Theological College in Dingwall is being touted as a redevelopment opportunity.
Property advisers noted that the town was close to the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport area which is expected to generate more than 11,000 jobs over the next 25 years. It aims to become a key global hub for the offshore renewable energy sector, made up of zones where tax incentives and lower tariffs are available to companies.

Dingwall is an historic market town and commuter settlement which sits at the head of the Cromarty Firth in Ross-shire, some 15 miles north-west of Inverness.
The Grade B listed stone building is arranged over basement, ground, first and attic floors. It was most recently operated as the Highland Theological College campus.
The original building, a former banking house, dates to the 1830s and comprises a frontage of ashlar stone block in a classical five-bay design. Offers over £295,000 are invited.
Neil Calder, a partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, which is handling the sale, said: “Currently configured in line with its college use comprising a range of classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, library facilities, a conference room as well as welfare and storage facilities, this substantial building on a prominent corner site, offers redevelopment potential for a range of uses, including residential, subject to planning. As such, we anticipate much interest in this redevelopment opportunity.”
