It’s summer in Glasgow, with the schools off and the Fair Fortnight underway.
It means the city’s a little quieter than usual, but that doesn’t mean that there’s not plenty on.

5. Have an art attack
Another cheap (free!) way to while away a couple of hours in the city is to pop into Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA). As well as enjoying the permanent exhibitions, which includes work by many of the biggest names in contemporary art, you can also check out the current show by Canadian/Irish artist Ciara Phillips. 'Undoing it' showcases her vibrant woodcuts, etchings and screen-prints in Gallery 3. | Google Maps

6. Enjoy a singalong
There's a real dearth of liove music in Glasgow this evening - somewhat unusually - but there's always a singalong at Maggie's, on the Trongate, with their nightly 'Rock n Rodeo'. The country classics and singalongs in the main bar start at 7pm. | Contributed

7. Learn while having fun
The perfect show for curious kids, The Ministry of Science have two show at Glasgow's Kings Theatre today, at 12.30pm amd 4pm. Entitled 'Science Saved The World', the expert presenters will take a dive deep into the world of science and look at how science shapes the modern world we live in. They'll do so with the help of 20ft liquid nitrogen clouds, exploding balloons, fire tornados, bottle rockets, ignited methane and a self-built hover craft. A show that will go with a bang. Tickets are priced from £15. | Contributed

8. Get drawing
Sloans Bar in the city centre holds Scotland's oldest Life Drawing Club every Monday from 7-9pm - and you can have a wee drink to inspire you as well. It's £11 and there are two life models each week. | Contributed
