Radio 2 in the Park is coming to Stirling - here's what we know so far, from dates to tickets

The news was revealed by Scott Mills live on his Breakfast Show this morning (February 27), with help from listener Lorna who appeared live from Stirling Castle.

Radio 2 in the Park is expected to bring Radio 2 presenters and some of the biggest names in music to City Park in Stirling this summer. The three-day festival will take place from Friday, August 7 to Sunday, August 9, with previous headliners including Bryan Adams, Belinda Carlisle, Def Leppard, and many more.

After announcing the news, Mills played songs from last year’s event as well as Yes Sir, I Can Boogie by Baccara.

He said: “What an absolute treat for Radio 2 in the Park to land in Scotland this summer! Every time I’ve DJ-ed in Scotland, I received the warmest welcome, so I truly cannot wait for what promises to be the most brilliant weekend in August. A Scottish crowd is the best crowd. Stirling - we’re coming for you!"

Where is Radio 2 in the Park 2026?

This year, Radio 2 in the Park will be held at City Park in Stirling, Scotland.

Previous host cities include Chelmsford, Preston and Leicester.

When is Radio 2 in the Park 2026?

There will be live music on in Stirling as part of Radio 2 in the Park from Friday, August 7 to Sunday, August 9.

Unfortunately for those excited by the news, details about how to get Radio 2 in the Park tickets have yet to be revealed.

An FAQ on the BBC website states that further information will be “confirmed in due course”.

In 2025, Radio 2 in the Park was held in September with tickets on sale from June.

There are several ticket types on offer, however it is likely that a selection of tickets for the festival will be reserved for residents of Stirling. Last year, 30% of tickets were reserved for those who lived within certain postcodes around Essex. The standard ticket purchasing process will still need to be followed.

Do we know the 2026 line-up?

The line-up for Radio 2 in the Park 2026 has yet to be revealed.

Acts will likely be over the next few months, with previous editions of the festival including performances from the likes of Sting, Pet Shop Boys, Tears for Fears, Kylie Minogue, Marti Pellow, Manic Street Preachers, Snow Patrol and many, many more.

Last year, Bryan Adams and Def Leppard headlined, with sets from acts such as Belinda Carlise, Ronan Keating, Jessi e J, Olly Murs, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Suede.
