It’s been a few days since the world of radio was shocked by the sudden departure of Scott Mills from BBC Radio 2’s flagship breakfast show.
There has been plenty of speculation and discussion about the reasons for his sacking, but it’s clear that he’ll not be coming back.
That means that there’s a plum job available as his replacement, and one that’s likely to be fairly lucrative - Mills was paid just under £360,000 last year.
A number of famous faces are now leading the charge to be his successor.
Here are the 8 favourites, according to Coral Bookmakers.
