Scotland's biggest LEGO show Edinbrick set to return to Edinburgh this summer after previous sold-out runs

Calling all LEGO fans! Edinbrick, Scotland’s biggest LEGO show, is set to return to Edinburgh this May.

After a record-breaking show in 2025, Edinbrick returns to Meadowbank Sports Centre for 2026 on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, with more displays than ever before.

The charitable not-for-profit show will once again see a year on year increase in display space and the total number of displayers as it grows yet again this year.

With 40 per cent more display space for LEGO builds and an increase of 50 per cent more builders, Edinbrick 2026 will be bursting at the seams with LEGO talent.

The sheer size of the show has completely surpassed organisers’ expectations, with the event having been oversubscribed by displayers from across the UK, with many displaying in Scotland for the first time.

Doug Adamson, lead organiser, said: “We thought after last year we couldn’t get much bigger, but we were surprised by the number and quality of displayers who applied this year, especially considering the distance some are travelling.

“Edinbrick is Scotland’s biggest LEGO model display show bar none, which is staggering when we look back to our first show in 2017 to see how much we’ve grown, all the while remaining all volunteer-run and not-for-profit, raising funds for the Fairy Bricks Charity.”

While last year’s show had Scotland’s first display of the largest LEGO version of the Forth Bridge ever built, at over eight meters long. This year’s show promises to see a glimpse of a possible future Edinburgh in a massive collaboration build of ’Neo Edinbara’, bringing a fusion of local flavour and futuristic technology and architecture.

Other displays will include a minifigure city, super heroes, robots, castles, microscale cities, trains and classic space displays. Another collaboration build, featuring many different themes and genres and with a name evocative of one of Edinburgh’s famous sporting teams, is still under wraps but will see it’s first outing at the show at Meadowbank this year.

The annual event began at Summerhall in 2017, before moving to Potterrow Dome in 2018 and 2019. Since 2023, Edinbrick has been the biggest LEGO Show in Scotland both in terms of number of displayers and total attendance over two days, held at McEwan Hall in 2024 and Meadowbank last year.

Edinbrick’s 2026 show would have been the 10th Edinbrick had there not been a few years off due to the Covid pandemic. With a track record of selling out weeks - sometimes months - in advance, organisers are hoping to repeat or surpass last year's record attendance this May at Meadowbank.
