The Oasis reunion is officially underway, with the Britpop band playing three dates at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 8, 9 and 12.
It’ll be the latest chapter in the story of Oasis in Scotland, starting with a tiny gig at King Tut’s in Glasgow when they were famously ‘discovered’ by manager Alan McGee, who signed them up to Creation Records.
The early reviews from the tour have been glowing, so it seems like those who were lucky enough to bag a ticket are in for a real treat, with a killer setlist.
Of course the Gallagher brothers are almost as famous for their scathing wit as they are for their music, particularly when engaged in their favourite sport - squabbling with each other.
As the clock ticks down to those epic gigs in August, we’re looking at 26 of Noel’s most memorable quotes.
21. Noel on...television
"I don't like being on television when I'm playing live. I don't even like being on Jools Holland or any of them programs." | Getty Images
22. Noel on...London
"I first came to London when I was 22 and working as a roadie. Having watched the 'News At Ten' all my life, I thought Big Ben was going to be massive, but I was underwhelmed." | Getty Images
23. Noel on...oversharing
"I don't think people need to know what colour socks I'm wearing today; I don't think people need to know what shower gel I'm using. There's too much information in the world, and there's no magic or mystery anymore." | Getty Images
24. Noel on...collaborations
"I've never been asked to do a collaboration. I guess I just don't give off that come-and-get-me vibe. I wouldn't be adverse to doing one with Coldplay or U2 - anyone who sells 50 million albums." | Getty Images
