This week sees budget airline Easyjet release millions of cheap seats for holidays in summer 2025.
It comes as prices in some tourist destinations have been put under the spotlight - with many holidaymakers now steering clear of previously cheap destinations like Turkey due to soaring costs.
Scots have long enjoyed heading to places where their money goes further, with Eastern Europe becoming a common place to go and enjoy cheap food, drink and hotels.
But things change and prices in some of these former havens from the cost of living crisis aren’t quite as attractive as they once were.
To see which places give you most bang for your buck, we’ve looked at how much a locally-produced beer costs in some of the most popular destinations for Scots - all of which can be flown to direct from Scottish airports.
Here’s what we found.

5. America
Jetting off to the States? Expect to pay around £6.10 for a 0.5 glass of Budweiser if you're popping into a New York bar to rest your feet during a day of sightseeing. You'll be expected to tip as well, taking it up to over £7. Heading to the theme parks of Florida instead? Your wallet will stay a little heavier - with a beer costing 'just' £4.57 in Orlando. | Contributed

6. Spain
There may famously be 'no carbs before Marbs', but once you get to Spain's Costa Del Sol, a 0.5 litre glass of Estrella should only cost you around £1.69 in the bars of Marbella. | Contributed

7. Hungary
Budapest is more popular than ever with Scottish travellers. It's not quite as cheap as it once was, but a 0.5 litre glass of Drehe in a Budapest bar will still only cost an average of £2.15. | Contributed

8. France
In the French Capital of Paris a glass of Kronenbourg should cost you an average of £5.90. Surprisingly that's the same price you'll pay in pretty Bordeaux. | Contributed
