Two-time DP World Tour winner nominated in Scottish Golf Awards
Glitzy event to take place in Glasgow for second year in a row
Two-time DP World Tour winner Alastair Forsyth and Cameron Adam, one of the Scottish newcomers on the circuit, have both been nominated in the Scottish Golf Awards 2026.
Forsyth is in the running for Coach of the Year while Adam has been listed among the finalists for Amateur Golfer of the Year Award.

Forsyth worked with the likes of Bob Torrance, Ian Rae and Pete Cowen during his playing career and is now sharing his expertise as a coach based at Mearns Castle Golf Academy.
The 49-year-old, who won the Malaysian Open in 2002 then the Madeira Islanda Open six years later, is up against West Kilbride-based Linzi Dye and Tiffany MacKenzie, who uses Elgin as her base, in the Coach of the Year category.
Cameron Adam nominated after stellar season
Adam has been nominated after a stellar season, winning the St Andrews Links Trophy, qualifying for The Open at Royal Portrush, playing for GB&I in the Walker Cup in California and earning a DP World Tour Card through the Global Amateur Pathway.
The Royal Burgess left-hander, who also gave a great account of himself in the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo at The Belfry, made the cut in last week’s Crown Australian Open in his second start as a pro.

Adam’s rivals for the Amateur of the Year Award are Bothwell Castle’s Barry McCluskey, who made history by winning gold in the visual category at the 2025 European Championships in Sweden, and Carly McDonald, the 14-year-old from St Andrews who won the Scottish Girls’ Amateur and Girls’ Order of Merit title, as well as representing Scotland and GB&I.
Harburn, King’s in Inverness, and Peebles are the Club of the Year nominations for a glitzy bash being held in Glasgow for the second year running on 27 March.
The Professional Performance of the Year Award, won last year by Bob MacIntyre, will be decided by a public vote in January while the recipient of the Lifetime Honour Award will be selected by a Scottish Golf panel.
