Scottish golfer shares lead in final DP World Tour event in 2025

Scott Jamieson signs for eight birdies to set pace in AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open

Scott Jamieson carded eight birdies to share the clubhouse lead with South African Casey Jarvis in the first round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.

On a tough opening day of wind and rain at La Réserve Golf Links, Jamieson and Jarvis signed for matching five-under-par 67s to sit one ahead of a group of six players.

In the final DP World Tour of the 2025 calendar campaign, Jamieson started on the back nine, where he birdied the tenth, 12th, 13th, 14th and 17th with a bogey at the par-5 15th.

The Florida-based Scot then began for home with a double-bogey 6 at the first before picking up birdies at the fifth, sixth and eighth.

‘It was really tricky’

The chasing pack includes former Genesis Scottish Open champion Brandon Stone, as well as Frenchman Alex Levy, a five-time DP World Tour winner.

“It was tough and I played really well,” said Levy of the challenging conditions, which were reflected by the fact that only 33 out of the 155 players were under par when play was halted for the day. “There was wind and rain and it was really tricky.”

DP World Tour newcomer Cameron Adam mixed three birdies with three bogeys as he signed for a 72, with Euan Walker having to settle for a 77 that included a double-bogey 7 at the fifth.

Elsewhere, Ollie Roberts is the only Scot still standing in the Asian Tour Qualifying School Final after Eric McIntosh and Gavin Hay both missed the 36-hole cut in Hua Hin in Thailand.

Having followed an opening 71 with a 73 at Lake View Resort and Golf Club, Roberts sits joint-109th in the five-round battle for 20 cards.

Meanwhile, Louise Duncan is the leading Scot after two rounds in the LET’s Lalla Aicha Q-School in Morocco after recovering from a triple-bogey 7 at her fourth hole on Thursday to sit joint-24th on four under.

Hannah Darling and Laura Beveridge are both a shot behind, with Lorna McClymont, who opened with a 76 before repairing some of that spillage with a 71, on two over. After a sore start in the shape of two 78s, Gabrielle Macdonald is already out of card contention on 11 over.
