Adam McBurney is the latest name to be added to the touring party, with the Ulster hooker replacing the injured Dave Cherry. McBurney, a former Ireland under-20 international, will join Edinburgh over the summer.
The tour is an opportunity for some of the nation’s most talented youngsters to get experience of international rugby but there are also some left-field call-ups for the matches against England A on June 27, Romania on July 7 and Georgia on July 14.
With Gregor Townsend away on the Lions tour, Mike Blair will take charge of Scotland as interim head coach.
Here are the 18 new faces in the squad:

5. Rory Darge (flanker)
A mid-season move from Edinburgh to Glasgow Warriors has paid dividends for Rory Darge, 21, who has made an instant impression at his new club. The Edinburgh-born openside is a product of North Berwick RFC and captained Scotland Under-20s at the 2020 U20 Six Nations. Photo: Ross MacDonald/SNS

6. Cameron Henderson (lock)
Cameron Henderson (pictured centre) was capped by Scotland at under-20 level but is also English-qualified. The Leicester Tigers second-row forward was born in Hong Kong and was with Glasgow Warriors as a Scottish Rugby academy player before heading south. It was a bold move which looks to have paid off for the 21-year-old. Photo: Ross Parker/SNS

7. Robin Hislop (prop)
At 29, Robin Hislop has had to be patient for his international call-up. The Langholm prop won his first Scotland under-20 cap 11 years ago. Currently in his second spell at Doncaster Knights, the loosehead has also played for Ayr (pictured) and Edinburgh. Photo: Bruce White/SNS

8. Jamie Hodgson (lock)
The Edinburgh second row signed his first full professional contract this season and made his European debut in the impressive away win over Sale Sharks in the Champions Cup. The Livingston-born Hodgson is a former Scotland Under-20 international. Photo: Ross Parker/SNS
