Marks out of ten for Scotland following the Rugby World Cup Pool A clash in Yokohama
Scotland rugby team player ratings Chased everything, came into the line well and can be pleased with his efforts, but can't do it all himself. Caught out as Ireland scored second try.Had his moments but was kept quiet by a well-organised Ireland defence. Jittery moment when he dropped Russell pass but Hogg spared his blushesPlayed like someone who has spent a long time out injured, unsurprisingly. Can't fault his work ethic but will need to limit the errors going forward.Defended well enough, including potential try-saving tackle on Jacob Stockdale but didn't show enough in attackConway had him on toast for the bulk of the match and as a result he had little impact on the gameUnplayable on his day, but this certainly wasn't his day. Ireland did well to keep him quiet and he was largely ineffective as a result.Seasoned performer but game seemed to pass him by as opposite number Murray ran the show.
