The 2026 edition of the EPCR Challenge Cup final takes place this weekend as Ulster face Montpellier in Bilbao.
It’s a competition that Edinburgh are set to compete in next season and one where they could have a chance of a good run. They will be looking to go one step further than the last time they reached the final back in 2015.
It was a match where former scrum half Greig Laidlaw kicked English side Gloucester to a 19-13 win at Twickenham Stoop. Here is what all 23 players from the Edinburgh Rugby squad that day are doing now:
5. Ben Toolis
Founded a private investment consultancy company and forwards coach at Bond University in Queensland, Australia | SNS Group/SRU
6. Mike Coman
Returned home New Zealand to work for his family construction business after a hamstring injury forced him into early retirement in 2018 at just 31-years-old | SNS Group/SRU
