Lorna McClymont leads Sunshine Ladies Tour event in South Africa
Scot holds two-shot cushion after being only player under par for tournament after 36 holes
Lorna McClymont takes a two-shot lead into the final round of the SuperSport Ladies Challenge presented by Sun International in South Africa as the Scot chases a maiden professional win.
McClymont, who is in her second full season in the paid ranks, followed an opening two-over-par 74 on Wednesday at Humewood Golf Club on the Eastern Cape with an impressive four-under 68 on Thursday.
The efforts left McClymont, who played on a winning Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup team under Catriona Matthew’s captaincy at Sunningdale in 2024, as the only player in the field under par for the tournament.

The Dumbarton woman birdied the sixth and seventh in the second circuit before a dropped shot at the eighth saw her turn in 34.
Coming home, she then added birdies at the 11th, 12th and 15th to jump from a tie for tenth at the start of the day into top spot on the leaderboard.
McClymont finished runner-up in last year’s Jabra Ladies Classic, another event on the Sunshine Ladies Tour, and has now teed up a chance to land a first Scottish success in golf in 2026.
One of her nearest challengers, though, is a big threat heading into the closing circuit on Friday.
South African is a big threat
South Africa’s Lee-Anne Pace bounced back from an opening 77 to card a best-of-the-day 67 and sits alongside the overnight leader, Celina Sattelkau, on par after the German followed a first-day 69 with a 75.
Pace won this event in 2015 and is now looking to become the first multiple winner of this title.
A group of seven players, including defending champion Nadia van der Westhuizen, are all on one over par going into the final round.
Laura Beveridge, the other Scot in the field, sits just outside the top ten on two over after a second-round 69 that contained five birdies.
