The 125th edition of the US Open will be getting underway at Pennsylvania’s Oakmont Country Club on Thursday, June 12, with the champion crowned four days later.
It’s the third of the year’s four majors, with Rory McIlroy triumphing at the Masters and Scottie Scheffler taking the USPGA title.
Last year saw Bryson DeChambeau win, with McIlroy coming runner-up for the second successive year.
DeChambeau is back this year to defend his title - part of a field of 156 players, all dreaming of lifting one of golf’s most prestigious trophies.

5. Ludvig Aberg - 22/1
Sweden's Ludvig Åberg only turned professional in June 2023 and has already won titles on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour - as well as coming second in last year's Masters and being part of a winning European Ryder Cup team. Surely it's only a matter of time before he makes his major breakthrough. The bookies have him priced at 22/1 for the title. | Getty Images

6. Xander Schauffele - 22/1
Also with odds of 22/1 is American Xander Schauffele. He won both the USPGA and the Open last year, despite having not won a major before. He also won a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. | Getty Images

7. Collin Morikawa - 25/1
Collin Morikawa is priced at 25/1 to add to his two Major wins -the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open. He began his PGA Tour career by making 22 consecutive cuts - a record only bettered by Tiger Woods. | Getty Images

8. Joaquin Niemann - 28/1
Chilean Joaquín Niemann is the eighth favourite 28/1 shot for the US Open, despite having never triumphed at a Major. He won twice on the PGA tour before joining LIV golf and tied for 16th place in the 2023 Masters. | Getty Images
