It was a blockbuster summer transfer window for fans of the Scotland national team as a number of Scottish stars departed the United Kingdom in order to complete huge moves to some of Europe’s most prestigious leagues.
Scott McTominay became the most expensive Scottish player of all time when he moved to Napoli for a reported fee of more than £25million, while established international players such as Scott McKenna, Ryan Jack and Liam Cooper all moved abroad for the first time in their careers after their respective contracts with Nottingham Forest, Rangers and Leeds United came to an end.
Here we look at the 16 Scotland internationals who completed summer transfers and assess how they have done for their new teams in the first half of the season.
Who has been the standout performers so far?

9. Ryan Jack - Esenler Erokspor
The former Rangers midfielder completed a shock move to Turkish second tier outfit Esenler Erokspor after an injury-hit end to his Ibrox career. Capped 20 times for Scotland, Jack was included in Steve Clarke's Euro 2024 squad but didn't make an appearance in Germany. Has been a regular starter for his new side though, and has largely performed well in his 10 appearances, with the team currently in 13th place. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

10. Robby McCrorie - Kilmarnock
Is finally getting the first-team football he craved during his seven-season stint at Ibrox. Kept his first clean sheet of the season against Rangers in October, and has found his way back into the Scotland squad recently. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

11. Stuart Armstrong - Vancouver Whitecaps
Moving to Vancouver near the end of the season, Armstrong is currently enjoying time off with the MLS season now concluded. The 32-year-old had a positive start to his career in Canada, scoring one goal and assisting a further two from four starts towards the end of their campaign. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

12. Billy Gilmour - Napoli
He hasn't quite hit the heights of his teammate Scott McTominay, but has performed well enough when called upon. Started just five games in Serie A, but has recorded a passing accuracy of 87%, alongside a tackle win rate of exactly 100%. Will want to feature more regularly in the second-half of the campaign. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
