Aberdeen are edging closer to naming their next head coach after opening talks with St Mirren head coach Stephen Robinson over their vacant managerial position.
Knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Dunfermline Athletic at the weekend, the Dons have struggled under interim manager Peter Leven, who took the reins on a temporary basis following the sacking of Jimmy Thelin 66 days ago.
Without a win in their last six league games, the Aberdeen hierarchy has now moved fast to open talks with St Mirren boss Robinson, with the two clubs now confirming two talks are underway over a deal that would see him swap Paisley for Pittodrie.
As an appointment edges closer, we rank the last 10 Aberdeen managers based on their win ratio and see how Stephen Robinson compares:

5. Stephen Glass - 34.15%
Drafted in after an impressive spell with Atlanta United in the MLS, Glass was unable to get a tune out of Aberdeen, winning just 14 of his 41 games in charge. He is now assistant to Robbie Keane at Hungarian giants Ferencvaros. | SNS Group

6. Stephen Robinson - 35.1%
Winner of the Premier Sports Cup earlier this season, should the Northern Irish manager be appointed at Aberdeen, he'll head to Pittodrie with a 35.1% career win ratio. His best stint came with Motherwell, where he won 42% of his matches, whereas his record in Paisley stands at 33.1%. | SNS Group

7. Jim Goodwin - 39.53%
Should Robinson move from St Mirren to Aberdeen, he'll be following in the footsteps of the current Dundee United head coach, who made the same move back in January 2022. The Irishman lasted less than a year in charge though, and was sacked after winning just 17 of his 43 games in charge at Pittodrie. | SNS Group

8. Barry Robson - 40.82%
The former Scotland midfielder spent a year in charge of Aberdeen between January 2023 to January 2024, and won 20 of his 49 games in charge before being sacked by the club. | SNS Group
