Scotland’s Euro 2024 campaign is over after a 1-0 defeat by Hungary.
After a tense night in Stuttgart, Scotland finish Group A in last spot with one point after a goal in the tenth minute of stoppage time from Kevin Csoboth condemned them to defeat. Hungary will now have to wait for the other pools to conclude to discover if they will progress into the knock-out stages.
We give all the starters involved a mark out of ten for their performance against the Hungarians on a dramatic night in Germany.

9. John McGinn
Put himself about early on and tried to drive on the team. Influence waned towards end of the first half but then reignited with a bulldozing run. However, he was taken off with 15 minutes to go for Stuart Armstrong as Scotland chased a goal. 5 | PA

10. Andy Robertson
The captain was mute in an attacking sense in the first half, not galloping forward too often. Big tackle on Dominik Szoboszlai summed up his night: far more work in defence than attack. Had to come off late with a knock. 6 | Getty Images

11. Che Adams
Forced to feed off scraps during a frustrating first half. Had one shot over the bar at start of the second period but this was not his night. 5 | PA

12. The substitutes
Stuart Armstrong had a reasonable claim for a penalty when brought down by Willi Orban but the referee was unmoved. Lawrence Shankland improved striking output. Ryan Christie, Kenny McLean and Lewis Morgan all came on as the game became stretched and ragged as both teams chased a winner. | PA
