Rangers end their underwhelming Europa League campaign with a visit to Portuguese giants Porto this evening as they look to continue their winning run at Estádio do Dragão.
Danny Rohl’s side may be eliminated from the competition, but they will look to secure a statement win against Francesco Farioli’s side to stretch their run of victories to nine in all competitions.
Currently seven points clear at the top of Liga Portugal, Porto are looking to secure a top eight finish in the League Phase and seal automatic qualification to the last 16 of the Europa League.
They enter the game as favourites, and will be hoping to gain revenge for their 2-0 loss at Ibrox in 2019, the last time the sides met, where second-half goals from Steven Davis and Alfredo Morelos sealed a famous European home win for Steven Gerrard’s side.
But what happened to the Rangers starting XI that defeated Porto 2-0 in the Group Stages of the Europa League back in 2019?

9. RW: Brandon Barker
The former Manchester City academy standout and ex-Rangers man left eighth-tier side Avro FC last March and joined the Baller League in late 2025. A UK 'influencer-led football league', the 29-year-old signed for Rukkas FC and was managed by British acting sensation Idris Elba. He was later transferred to Deportrio FC, who are coached by former Manchester City stars Micah Richards and Daniel Sturridge, where he was playing as recently as December. | SNS Group

10. LW: Ryan Kent
Joined Fenerbahçe in 2023 following the expiry of his contract at Rangers, but barely featured before seeing his deal terminated by mutual agreement little over a year later. Hit the headlines for his unusual interest in exotic pets, prior to his transfer to the United States, with the Englishman almost joining Iranian side Persepolis due to a rule in the country that would allow him to keep his pet crocodile at home. Spent several months without a club before agreeing a deal with MLS side Seattle Sounders, where he made 16 appearances last season. | SNS Group

11. CF: Alfredo Morelos
Nicknamed El Buffalo during his stint at Ibrox, Morelos left Ibrox in the summer of 2023, having scored 124 goals for the club. The Colombian struggled upon his exit from Rangers, scoring just four goals for his new club Santos, who were relegated for the first time in their history. Rediscovered his scoring touch after signing for Atletico Nacional in his homeland, bagging 23 goals since his arrival, originally on loan, in 2024. | SNS Group
