Rangers warned of Hearts-Celtic tipping point as baffling Danny Rohl decision put on blast
Rangers warned that title bid is on a knife edge ahead of their clash with Hearts on Monday
Rangers have been warned that their title grim reaper is lurking ahead of the gargantuan clash with Hearts at Tynecastle on Monday afternoon.
The Light Blues’ hopes of winning the Scottish Premiership title hit a major speedbump against Motherwell last weekend when a last-minute goal from Emmanuel Longelo saw them fall to a crushing 3-2 defeat at Ibrox.
Dropping to third with the defeat, Rangers now trail the Jambos by four points at the summit and are one behind Celtic in second. However, they have an instant chance at redemption with a trip to the capital up next, where they can drag themselves back into contention with just three games remaining in the campaign.

Ex-Rangers and Scotland full-back Alan Hutton has warned his former side they must up their level of performance if they are to rescue their dwindling title bid, as he questioned the players’ desire to oust both Hearts and Celtic to become this season’s champions of Scotland.
“There were miles off it,” Hutton told Premier Sports. “If you can't get up for a game like that [vs Motherwell] at Ibrox, knowing the fixtures that are coming up as well. You've got Hearts on Monday, and Celtic as well. I hope they know...they must know [what's at stake]. To go out and put that performance in...look at even the Falkirk game in the first half.
“Okay, they got a goal before half-time, which gave them an opportunity to get back into it, but it was the same kind of performance. Substitutes needed to come on, something needed to happen for you to get back in the game, ultimately it is not good enough. For the likes of Mikey Moore not to start, such a prominent figure in this team, I don't think is ideal.
“[Rohl] understood he needed to make changes at half-time and they got back into it, but you shouldn't need to wait until half-time to get a reaction for a team when you're in the fight to win the title. The players need have to look at themselves as well. If they don't win on Monday, it's done - game's a bogey, it's over.”
Rangers face Hearts this Monday, with kick-off scheduled at 5.30pm. The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event.
