After last week’s manic encounter which ended in a 4-3 win for the Scottish Premiership leaders, the Ibrox boss is without striker Kemar Roofe and captain James Tavernier.
Rangers got off to the ideal start with Ryan Kent chasing down possession and squaring for Alfredo Morelos to open the scoring inside nine minutes.
They were pegged back with a flick by Lior Rafeleov but the game exploded into life just 17 seconds after the restart with Nathan Patterson firing in the best possible apology for his COVID misdemeanour earlier this week.
The youngster was excellent in replacing Leon Balogun and Rangers went further ahead with a fantastic third involving all three forwards.
Lamkel Ze pulled one back after Connor Goldson clattered Allan McGregor but Rangers pressed on and two penalties from Borna Barisic and sub Cedric Itten put Rangers into the last 16.

9. Ianis Hagi - 8
Barely touched the ball by time Rangers were ahead and played a subtle supporting role to give others the chance and space. Closing down for the first goal and a wonderful touch for the third. A team-mate's dream. Photo: RUSSELL CHEYNE

10. Ryan Kent - 8
Terrier-like in opening stages and that half hour rest in Belgium has revitalised the winger. Opener created of his own doing, and then a great finish for his own effort and Rangers' third. Photo: Ian MacNicol

11. Alfredo Morelos - 9
Complete performance from the Colombian again. Fully concentrated, great composed finish for the opener and unselfish link-up contributed to this growing attribute of forward play outwith scoring goals exemplified by outstanding work for Rangers' third and calm opener. Photo: RUSSELL CHEYNE

12. BOSS - Steven Gerrard
Man management plus points with Nathan Patterson's redemption but will have concerns over defensive spaces being exploited by better sides. Has a formidable creative blend in attack, defending from the front and some moves strung together were quite exquisite. Photo: NEIL HANNA
