What channel is Rangers v Celtic on? TV details, live stream and ticket news for Scottish Women's Cup final
Full details ahead of Rangers v Celtic in the Scottish Women’s Cup final at Hampden
Rangers and Celtic will battle it out at Hampden Park this weekend in order to lift the Scottish Women’s Cup.
The last piece of SWPL silverware available this season will see Rangers aim to retain their crown as the reigning champions of the competition, while Celtic will hope to topple them as they look to wrestle back a trophy they last won in 2023.
Both sides enter the game on the back of disappointing league campaigns, with Rangers’ shock 6-0 defeat to Glasgow City on the final day of the season seeing them pipped to the post for the title by Hearts. Meanwhile, Celtic ended their campaign with a drab 1-1 draw against Partick Thistle, finishing in an underwhelming fifth position in the table.
With neither side lifting silverware this season, the Scottish Women’s Cup final clash will have an extra layer of meaning for both as they look to respond to a campaign that has so far failed to live up to their expectations.
Ahead of the game, Celtic head coach Grant Scott said: “We’re looking forward it now, very excited. We’re in a very privileged position to be where we are, and we want to take full advantage of that. We’ve got to turn up. We’ve got to perform.”
In the aftermath of their crushing defeat to Glasgow City in the SWPL last week, Rangers boss Leanne Crichton called on her players to respond in the final at Hampden, saying: “This group has already come so, so far and we’ve got a perfect opportunity to go out one more time.”
