How to watch Motherwell v Rangers
Rangers will aim to close the gap to Premiership leaders Hearts back to three points when they visit Motherwell on Wednesday night.
Danny Rohl’s side are currently second in the table, six points behind the Jambos, who extended their lead at the top of the table with a late 1-0 win over Hibs in the Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle on Tuesday.
The Ibrox side were previously written off as title hopefuls this season after enduring their worst start to a league campaign in 47 years under Russell Martin.
However, they have emerged as genuine contenders due to a run of consistent form under their German head coach, who has lost only one league game since his arrival in October.
Rangers warmed up for the trip to Fir Park with an 8-0 demolition of Queen’s Park in the Scottish Cup on Sunday, which came hot on the heels of a 5-1 win over Kilmarnock last midweek.
Motherwell, however, pose a significant risk to their title ambitions. Jens Berthel Askou’s men are playing some of the most attractive football in the top flight, and have the results to show for it.
The Steelmen are fourth in the table, eight points behind Rangers with a game in hand. They haven’t conceded a goal at home in the league since October 18 and have only lost two of their last 17 matches.
They also have a striker in red-hot form with Tawanda Maswinishe netting in each of his last five appearances and taking his tally for the season to 18.
