It was one of many memorable European nights at Ibrox in late 2022, but as those in attendance at Rangers’ dramatic 3-0 second leg win over Union Saint-Gilloise will attest - it was one of the best.
Facing an uphill battle after losing 2-0 in the first leg in Belgium, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side had to invoke the spirit of their unforgettable Europa League run from the previous campaign if they were to progress to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
And it was a task both players and fans alike responded to, blowing away the Belgian Pro League outfit on a raucous night in Govan.
It took until the stroke of half-time to break the deadline, but James Tavernier had Ibrox rocking when he reduced the deficit with a well-taken penalty before new signings Antonio Colak and Malik Tillman introduced themselves to Ibrox to send the Gers through the final qualifying stage of the UEFA Champions League against PSV Eindhoven.
But where are the players from that famous night at Ibrox now? Only two remain from the starting XI, while the other nine have left for pastures new.

9. RW: Malik Tillman
On loan from Bayern Munich, the Dutch attacker was outstanding on the night and went on to win the Scottish Premiership young player of the year in his sole season at Ibrox. Moved to PSV Eindhoven on loan the following year, scoring nine goals and assisting a further 10 in 23/24. The Eredivisie club made his move permanent this summer for a reported fee of €12million, though Bayern inserted buyback clause of approximately €35million. | SNS Group

10. LW: Ryan Kent
After his outstanding form in the Europa League the season prior, a lot was expected of Kent in 22/23. However, it was the season he Rangers career went downhill. Struggling to get into any rhythm, Kent struggled in Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side and things got even worse under Michael Beale. Kent was eventually released last summer and moved to Fenerbahce, where he barely features. | SNS Group

11. CF: Antonio Colak
Poor old Antonio. Scored 17 goals for Rangers in his debut season, but was inexplicably dropped by new head coach Michael Beale in favour of Alfredo Morelos and sold the following summer to Parma. Sadly, things haven't really worked out for the Croatian in Italy though, where he has scored just three league goals. | SNS Group

12. Sub: Alfredo Morelos
Ah, Alfredo. What an enigma. Never truly regained the form that made him a hero on the Ibrox terraces after that thigh injury in early 2022. Struggled for goals that season, and was one of many to be released at the end of the campaign. Moved to Santos, but was part of the squad that saw them relegated for the first time in their history, didn't settle and ended up back in his homeland of Colombia, where he signed for Atletico Nacional on loan last month. | SNS Group
