Rangers will look to secure a safe passage to the Premier Sports Cup final when they head to Hampden Park to face Aberdeen in the final four of the competition this Saturday (kick-off: 5.30pm).
Derek McInnes’ side are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions, though two of their last three have ended in draws, with their last two away fixtures against Dundee and Hearts respectively ending in 2-2 draw. As they head to the national stadium, they’ll be desperate to return to winning ways and make their first cup final under the new manager.
As for Aberdeen, it’s been one step forward and two steps back, with the inconsistency of Stephen Robinson’s side becoming a real cause for concern at Pittodrie. A 1-0 home defeat to Falkirk in midweek has left them in a worrying ninth position in the league table, and they’ll be hoping the Premier Sports Cup can offer some solace as they aim to make the final of the competition for the first time since 2023.
