Rangers head coach Danny Rohl will be desperate to see his side return to winning ways this weekend as they welcome Motherwell for a festive Scottish Premiership clash at Ibrox on Saturday (kick-off: 3pm).
The German suffered his first league defeat as Gers boss on Sunday, falling to a 2-1 defeat against league leaders Hearts, but will now focus his attention on leapfrogging in-form Motherwell into third place in Govan this weekend.
Jen Berthel Askou’s side will arrive with a swagger at Ibrox, though, with their narrow 1-0 victory over Falkirk on Saturday meaning they have now gone 10 league games without defeat, without conceding a single goal in their last six fixtures. They’ll make the short trip to Glasgow, hoping to close the gap on second-placed Celtic, who currently sit five points ahead of them going into the new year.
Ahead of the game at Ibrox, The Scotsman has all the early team news:

14. John Souttar - Rangers - DOUBT
Has returned to training this week after being injured in the warm up prior to Scotland's memorable 4-2 win over Denmark in November. The big centre-back is likely to miss the visit of Motherwell, with the game coming a little too soon in his recovery. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

15. Zach Robinson - Motherwell - OUT
Out with an Achilles tendon issue for a year, Robinson is closing in on a return in the new year, but this weekend will come too soon for him to feature. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

16. Rabbi Matondo - Rangers - OUT
Hasn't played for the club for over a year and, with his contract ending this summer, his future at Ibrox looks bleak. Injured for the bulk of the season, the Wales international continues to be sidelined. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
