Rangers will look to keep the pressure on Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership table when they visit Hibs in the 2pm kick-off at Easter Road on Sunday.
Danny Rohl’s side saw their eight-match winning run ended by Porto in the Europa League on Thursday, with the Portuguese giants running out 3-1 winners at Estadio do Dragao despite Djeidi Gassama’s early opener. Just four points adrift in the race for the title heading into the weekend, the German boss will want to ensure his side returns to winning ways at the first possible opportunity.
Their hosts, Hibs, are desperate for a win of their own after a difficult run of results. Knocked out of the Scottish Cup by second-tier outfit Dunfermline Athletic a fortnight ago, they were thumped 4-1 by Falkirk in the league last week, and have dropped five points behind Motherwell in the race for a top four finish.
New signings Owen Elding and Kai Andrews could be in line for debuts after arriving from Sligo Rovers and Coventry City, respectively, though Kieron Bowie is unlikely to be involved after the Scotland international jetted off to Italy to complete a £7million move to Hellas Verona.
