Rangers will go in search of their first Europa League win of the season when they visit Ferencvaros at the Groupama Arena on Thursday evening (kick-off: 5.45pm UK time).
Having failed to win any of the opening five games, Rangers are on the verge of being knocked out of the Europa League at the League Phase of the competition, but will be hoping to grab a much-needed win in Budapest can provide them with a late hope of achieving a playoff spot. They’ll game buoyed by his team’s dominant 3-0 league win at Kilmarnock on Saturday, but the German boss Danny Rohl has several selection decisions to make ahead of the clash.
Their hosts, Ferencvaros, have enjoyed a far superior Europa League campaign thus far, and currently sit in sixth place after winning three and drawing two of their opening games. Currently top of the Hungarian top flight, Robbie Keane’s side enter the game on the back of a 3-0 win over Kisvárda, which put them two points clear of nearest rivals ETO Gyor.
