As Rangers approach their final three fixtures of the Scottish Premiership season, the transfer rumour mill is beginning to turn its wheels and readying itself for the Ibrox giants to be linked with a number of names in the summer.
With an imminent takeover on the way from an American consortium involving the San Francisco 49ers and a permanent manager to be appointed, it will almost certainly be another hectic summer in Govan as Rangers look to close the widening gap on their near neighbours Celtic, with incomings and exits expected.
They won’t be the only club included in the transfer merry-go-round though, with a number of teams writing up their transfer wishlists ahead of the window reopening next month.
A number of big names and upcoming talents have come and gone from Rangers over the years and there remains some who have will have uncertain futures outside of Ibrox in just a few weeks.
Here are 12 former Rangers players who have contracts expiring this summer as things stand.

9. Stephen Kelly - Livingston
The talented young midfielder came to the fore during Rangers' 21/22 pre-season games, where he impressed the onlooking Ibrox faithful. Lack of first team opportunities resulted in him leaving permanently in order to sign for Livingston on a three-year deal. That deal expires this summer, though the club may look to tie him down to a new deal after his six goals in 26 appearances helped them into the playoffs. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

10. Greg Stewart - Mohun Bagan
The ex-Rangers title winner spent half-a-season with Kilmarnock in 2024, but is currently playing as a forward or attacking midfielder for Indian Super League club Mohun Bagan, where he has eight goal contributions in 20 appearances. Won the ISL League Shield as regular season champions - Stewart scoring at the end of the victory over Goa in the final game of the season. His deal is reported to expire at the end of the month. | SNS Group Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group

11. Danny Wilson - Livingston
A former Young Player of the Year award winner, Wilson moved to Liverpool for a fee of £2million in 2010, but struggled to make an impression and returned to Scotland to sign for Hearts. A second Ibrox spell would come in 2015, where he played 64 times prior to a long-spell in America with Colorado Rapids. Currently fighting for promotion with David Martindale's Livingston side, he joined them on a short-term deal on October 2024, before extending his contract until the end of the campaign. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

12. Kemar Roofe - Derby County
The injury-plagued forward left Rangers upon the expiry of his contract last summer, but didn't sign for a new club until February of this year, when he penned a short-term deal with EFL Championship side Derby County until the end of the season. After appearing just three times for the Rams though, it looks like his deal will not be renewed at Pride Park. | SNS Group Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group
