Scotland fans have just 27 more days to wait until Steve Clarke’s side gets their World Cup campaign underway with a clash against Haiti in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The first time Scotland has qualified for the World Cup since 1998, a generation of Tartan Army supporters are now counting down the days until the tournament begins in June. With Clarke’s 26-man squad set to be announced on Tuesday, the anticipation is reaching fever pitch.
While Scott McTominay, Andy Robertson and John McGinn can sleep soundly enough knowing they are virtually guaranteed a spot on the plane to the United States, several others face an anxious wait to discover if they’ve made the list.
Here, we look at 10 players sweating over a call-up to the Scotland World Cup squad:

9. Liam Kelly - Rangers
Behind Angus Gunn and Scott Bain in the pecking order, the return of Craig Gordon to fitness could scupper Kelly's chances of going to the World Cup as one of Scotland's three goalkeepers. He went to the European Championships two summers ago, but is extremely short on match fitness, having failed to play a single minute of league football for Rangers this season. | SNS Group

10. Ross McCrorie - Bristol City
The versatile defender is comfortable in several positions, which could put him ahead of others. However, his lack of international experience could stand against him as Clarke mulls over which 26 players he wants to take to America. | SNS Group
