Scotland eased the pressure on head coach Steve Clarke as they returned to winning ways with a comfortable 4-0 victory over minnows Liechtenstein in Monday evening’s international friendly at Rheinpark Stadion.
Che Adams got Scotland off to the perfect start when he blasted in from close range after just four minutes, before Lennon Miller capitalised on a poor goal kick from goalkeeper Benjamin Büchel to set the Torino striker up for his second on 26 minutes.
George Hirst added a third early in the second-half, tapping home his first international goal from close range, before Adams bagged his first international hat-trick in the final seconds of the game thanks to an excellent Tommy Conway cross as the visitors dominated in Vaduz.
Here’s how The Scotsman rated the performance of each player in the 3-0 win over Liechtenstein in Vaduz.

5. LB: Andy Robertson - 7
His dangerous corner caused havoc early on and led to the opening goal. He linked very well with McGinn throughout and offered variation in his passing. A much improved performance from Friday. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

6. RM: Lewis Ferguson - 6
Should have done better from an excellent McGinn cross early on. Played on the right-hand side of a narrow three, which seemed to restrict his impact. The Bologna captain was fairly quiet. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

7. CM: Billy Gilmour - 7
A neat and tidy performance on his 40th Scotland cap. Recycled possession well, ending the game with 92% passing accuracy. He was able to dictate play from the middle against a pretty lacklustre Liechtenstein outfit. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

8. CM: Lennon Miller - 9
An excellent first start for Scotland. Created the opening goal when his sliced shot was directed in by Adams, before his high-pressing then ensured Scotland took full advantage of a poor goal kick from the Liechtenstein goalkeeper for the second. Positive throughout, he created five chances for his team and always wanted to get on the ball. Pulled off a sublime piece of skill on 68 minutes to showcase his limitless confidence. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
