The Scotland national team return to action in just over four weeks as Steve Clarke’s side begin their World Cup preparations by taking on both Japan and Ivory Coast next month.
Ahead of the pre-tournament friendlies, the 62-year-old head coach has several injury concerns, with the likes of John McGinn, Ben Gannon-Doak, and Lawrence Shankland all missing games for their respective club sides in recent months, alongside many others.
It is not all bad news, though, with Billy Gilmour returning to action with Napoli in recent weeks, while others have declared themselves ready to go for Scotland’s World Cup adventure in the Americas in four months' time.
Here we detail every injury concern Scotland currently has, their expected return date and their chances of being fit and available for the summer World Cup.

13. Craig Gordon - Hearts
His scan on a shoulder injury wasn't great news, according to Hearts boss Derek McInnes, and he could be out for several weeks. Facing a race against time to be fit for next month's friendlies. Expected return date: Not specified, but the international break will come too soon for him, according to Hearts. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

14. Ryan Gauld - Vancouver Whitecaps
Hasn't played for the national team since appearing off the bench in a 2-1 win over Poland in November 2024. Underwent surgery on a knee injury recently and has missed the start of the new MLS season. Expected return date: The playmaker isn't due to be fit until April, according to reports. | SNS Group

15. Stuart Armstrong - Aberdeen
A part of the Scotland squad at the last two European Championships, Armstrong's chances of going to the World Cup are slim after falling down the pecking order in recent months. Had a calf injury recently that had kept him sidelined. Expected return date: Made his return from the bench in the weekend loss to Hearts. He is fit, if needed. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

16. Aaron Hickey - Brentford
Went off just before half-time in last week's 2-0 home defeat to Brighton with a hamstring issue. Expected return date: Missed the weekend win over Burnley, with a further update expected in the days to come. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
