Scotland return to action for the first time this year as they face a friendly double-header against Japan and the Ivory Coast ahead of their participation in this summer’s World Cup.
With key names such as Lawrence Shankland, Craig Gordon and Ben Gannon-Doak ruled out of the March friendlies, Rangers’ teenage talent Findlay Curtis has been drafted into the squad by Steve Clarke following some impressive performances on loan at Kilmarnock in the last month.
One of only two players in Clarke’s squad under the age of 20, the teenager joins an increasing list of Scotland’s most promising young talents to be offered a shot by the 62-year-old national team boss. But which youngster will be the next to break into the Scotland senior side?
Here are the 10 players we’re tipping to follow in the footsteps of Curtis and make it into the Scotland senior squad in the months - and years - to come:

5. Aidan Borland - Aston Villa
The former Celtic academy player made a strong first impression on Aston Villa fans last season, gaining comparisons to Croatian legend Luka Modric due to his style of play. The 18-year-old has gained valuable experience by joining EFL League Two side Swindon Town in January, where he has featured 10 times. A senior call-up would be far in the future, but Borland is definitely one to watch. | SNS Group

6. Evan Mooney - Arsenal
Mooney first broke into the St Mirren team aged just 16, and went on to play 23 senior games in Paisley before he was snapped up by English Premier League giants Arsenal in January. Viewed as a player with a big future, he has featured six times for the Gunners' academy side since his move, and scored a goal from the halfway line on his debut. | SNS Group

7. Colby Donovan - Celtic
The 19-year-old right-back broke into the Celtic first-team this season and has impressed when called upon, making 25 appearances across all competitions and grabbing four assists in the process. Already a Scotland youth international, Donovan will hope to continue his progression next season and challenge for a spot in Steve Clarke's senior squad in the years to come. | SNS Group

8. Ethan Sutherland - Wolverhampton Wanderers
Snapped up by Wolves after breaking into the St Mirren first-team, Sutherland has picked up senior experience via loan spells at Alloa Athletic and Solihull Moors in recent seasons. Capable at left-back or left-wing, the 18-year-old has played regularly in the Premier League 2 department this season, scoring once and assisting four in 15 appearances.
