It has been a World Cup to remember on - and perhaps off - the pitch, as we look ahead to the final of the tournament this weekend.
Global superstars such as Jude Bellingham, Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland have stolen the limelight in North America this summer, with the strikers seemingly scoring at will. However, it sadly wasn’t quite the tournament that Scotland had hoped for, with a 3-0 defeat to Brazil sealing another group stage exit.
While attacking flair has taken precedence over defensive resilience at the World Cup so far, there are a number of teams thankful to their goalkeeper and defence for steering them into the latter stages of the competition. But which goalkeepers have been the most impressive at the tournament so far, and who is in line to take home the Golden Glove award? Who has performed best - and who has suffered?
With the tournament currently at last eight stage, we look at the 10 goalkeepers who have ranked highest at the World Cup 2026:

9. Alireza Beiranvand - Iran
The Iranian stopper departed at the group stage, but was one of the highest ranked goalkeepers at the tournament with an average rating of 7.31. He made 83.3 per cent of his saves successfully, and made zero errors leading to a goal, while he also registered one clean sheet.

10. Raul Rangel - Mexico
Kept four consecutive clean sheets at the World Cup so before conceding three to England, Rangel ended the tournament with an average rating of 7.27. He saved 72.7 per cent of the shots he's faced, and prevented 1.64 goals. | Getty Images
