What channel is Celtic v Besiktas? TV and live stream for Europa League clash

How to watch Celtic v Besiktas including free highlights

Celtic will attempt to secure their first points in the Europa League when they host Besiktas on Thursday.

Martin O’Neill’s side have started their campaign with three successive defeats at the hands of Ferencvaros, Benfica and Celta Vigo and sit second bottom of the 36-team table as one of four sides still on zero points.

The Scottish champions dropped into the Europa League after throwing away a four-goal lead to lose 5-4 on aggregate to Austrian side LASK in the Champions League play-off round in August.

With 15 points left to play for, Celtic are still able to reach for the knockout phase, with 10 points and a healthy goal difference considered to be the minimum requirement for a top 26 finish, however, no side has qualified after losing their first three games.

The Hoops are on a poor run with their 2-0 defeat at Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday leaving them with only three wins in their last 10 matches across all competitions.

Besiktas, meanwhile, are riding high in eighth place in the Europa League standings having started their campaign with back-to-back wins over Marseille and Hoffenheim before drawing 2-2 with Crystal Palace.

Their form in the Turkish Super Lig has been less inspiring though as they sit fourth in the table and trail leaders Galatasaray by six points.
