Celtic stormed back to the top of the Premiership and moved five points clear of Rangers just four matches into the campaign with an impressive 3-0 win over their arch rivals at Parkhead.
Goals from Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi and Callum McGregor made it an afternoon to remember for the defending champions, who continue their vice-like grip on this fixture. Despite creating some good chances, the Ibrox side were unable to trouble the hosts and their manager Philippe Clement is still searching for his first Old Firm win since arriving in Scotland last year.
The result was further evidence of how far ahead Celtic are of Rangers. The Parkhead side have started the season impressively and against the only team deemed capable of mounting a title challenge, the flexed their muscle and displayed their superiority. “Stand up for the champions” echoed round the packed Parkhead stadium as Celtic fans revelled in this latest Old Firm triumph.
We give each player who started the Old Firm derby a mark out of ten for their performance in the east end of Glasgow.

13. Paulo Bernardo
Under pressure for his position in the team after the arrivals of Arne Engels and Luke McCowan, the Portuguese sent a message to his manager: I'm here to stay in the team. Bernardo was impressive throughout, showing neat touches in midfield and clipping the ball through to Alistair Johnston to set up Celtic's opener. Nearly scored on 45 minutes after delicate footwork set up his chance. A fine day's work. 8 | SNS Group

14. Connor Barron
Okay in possession but was like a lost boy when Celtic's midfielders had the ball. Fortunate not to be booked early on. Lots of energy but lacked in end product. 4 | SNS Group

15. Mohamed Diomande
The Ivorian was a disappointment in Rangers' midfield, unable to influence the game. Picked up a yellow card in the first half and made way for Tom Lawrence just after the break. Given how well he fared last season, more was expected of him in this derby. 4 | SNS Group

16. Dujon Sterling
Was asked to bring power and energy to the midfield but his batteries were flat. Never recovered from a yellow card and was taken off as Celtic drove on. 4 | SNS Group
