Celtic face three-way scrap for 24y/o hitman as chase intensifies for new transfers
Freiburg forward Adamu the latest name to be linked with champions
Celtic are reportedly in a three-way tussle to sign Austrian forward Junior Adamu, who currently plays for Freiburg in the Bundesliga.
Adamu, 24, is not a first-team regular with the German outfit and it is understood that they would be prepared to let him leave on loan. Capped nine times by Austria, media sources in Germany say that Celtic have “concrete” interest in the player - but face competition from two other clubs.
Celtic recruitment chiefs are frantically working on bringing in fresh faces before the winter transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday. A striker, a winger and a central defender are believed to be their main targets.

The defending Premiership champions are currently third in the league and have already brought in right-back Julian Araujo from Bournemouth and Borussia Monchengladbach striker Tomas Cvancara, both on loan.
They have been working on deal for wingers Damir Redzic (Dunajska Streda) and Farès Ghedjemis (Frosinone), but would have to pay more than £5 million for either. They have also been linked with Swiss centre-half Aurèle Amenda, who is also in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Manager Martin O’Neill confirmed on Thursday that Celtic are making progress with their transfer business, while assistant manager Shaun Maloney stated on Friday that he ideally wants three new players in by Monday night.
Celtic are in action on Sunday when they take on Falkirk at home in the league.
