The home side had the better of the game’s chances and looked on course to break their rivals ‘invincible’ title-winning campaign after taking the lead through to Mohamed Elyounoussi’s 23rd minute header.
However, a goal from Alfredo Morelos seven minutes before half-time – his first for Rangers against Celtic at the 15th attempt – earned the champions a point and preserved their 33 match unbeaten run in the Premiership this season.
Rangers had goalkeeper Allan McGregor to thank for a series of saves as Celtic dominated the shots on goal tally, with 16 attempts to Rangers’ six, while John Kennedy’s side also enjoyed the lions share of possession.
But how did the Celtic players rate … ?

Looked occasionally suspect at set pieces, but comfortable and composed in all other areas. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group

A powerful performance from the Celtic captain in the middle of the park after a powerful statement before the game in the handshake with Glen Kamara. Class all round. Photo: Alan Harvey - SNS Group

Didn't bring a lot to the table. Occasional bursts of promise but mostly flattered to deceive. Capable of impacting games more. Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group

Put in a number of excellent set piece deliveries that Celtic failed to take advantage of. Showed moments of class but not his most influential performance from open play. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group
