Three Celtic bids rejected

Celtic have had three bids rejected for Go Ahead Eagles midfielder Jakob Breum, according to reports in the Netherlands. The reports claim Celtic made an initial bid of £1.3million, which was swiftly rejected, and the most recent offer also fell well short of his club’s valuation. The 21-year-old, who is under contract until 2027, joined Go Ahead as a left winger from Odense two years ago but was transformed into a central attacking midfield player. The Denmark Under-21 international delivered 10 goals and five assists in the Eredivisie last season.

AC Milan striker targeted

Aberdeen have made an approach to sign AC Milan striker Marko Lazetic. The Serbian Under-21 international was linked with the Dons last season but no deal was agreed. According to Sky Sports, Aberdeen have returned to the table with the San Siro giants now considering selling the 21-year-old with a sell-on clause attached.

Lazetic has made just two appearances for the Milan first-team and has spent most of his time with the Serie A side's development squad since joining from Red Star Belgrade in 2021. The 6ft 4in striker forward spent last season on loan at TSC back in his homeland, scoring three times in 43 appearances. He has also had loan spells with Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie and Rheindorf Altach in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Lazetic is the nephew of Nikola Lazetic, who earned 25 caps for Serbia and Montenegro and is now president of the Serbian FC. Another uncle, Zarko Lazetic, played over 250 games for clubs in Serbia, Greece and Indonesia before becoming a manager. He is currently the boss of Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.

Lennon Miller offered 4-year contract

Bologna have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Scotland midfielder Lennon Miller from Motherwell. The 18-year-old could be set to join international team-mate Lewis Ferguson at the Coppa Italia winners with reports in Italy claiming that he has been offered a contract until 2029 with an option for an additional season. Serie A rivals Udinese had been leading the race for Miller, and held talks with the teenager last week, but they have yet to meet 'Well's valuation of the player, which is believed to be around the £5million mark. Miller has yet to feature in a competitive game for the Fir Park side this season having sat out the Premier Sports Cup group stages due to a minor injury. It remains unclear whether he will be involved against Rangers in Saturday's Premiership season opener.

Rangers eye two signings but lose duo

Rangers have been tipped to sign Tottenham winger Mikey Moore on a season-long loan. The 17-year-old was left out of new manager Thomas Frank’s 29-man squad for the pre-season trip to Hong Kong, remaining behind on Sunday as his team-mates departed for the Far East. Moore was left behind as he is expected to leave the club on loan and Rangers have reportedly emerged as favourites for his signature.

The teenager has made 21 first-team appearances for Spurs and scored his first goal in a 3-0 win over Elfsborg on the way to his team’s Europa League success. The wide player stayed on the bench as Ange Postecoglou’s side beat Manchester United in the final in Bilbao. He then represented England in the Under-19 European Championship.

While Rangers are hoping to sign a teenager from the Premier League, they have lost two others. Newcastle have announced that they have signed 16-year-old Scotland youth internationals Oliver Goodbrand and Alfie Hutchison from Rangers for their Under-18 squad. Defender Goodbrand was a regular for Rangers Under-18s and made his B team debut in a Glasgow Cup win over Partick Thistle. Hutchison, who scored two goals in another Glasgow Cup triumph over Queen’s Park, had joined Rangers from Hearts 12 months ago.

Meanwhile, reports in the Netherlands claim Rangers are preparing a bid for Go Ahead Eagles winger Oliver Antman. The 23-year-old Finland international delivered six goals and 15 assists during his first season in the Eredivisie after joining from Nordsjaelland.

SPFL star earns Serie A move

Kilmarnock have sold defender Corrie Ndaba to Serie A side Lecce for an undisclosed fee. The versatile 25-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Italian club 12 months after joining Killie on a permanent transfer from Ipswich. The Irishman spent the previous season at Rugby Park on loan and made 76 appearances in total.

Ndaba showed his gratitude to the “Kilmarnock family” in a farewell message on social media. “From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you,” he wrote. “Since the moment I arrived at Rugby Park, I’ve felt nothing but love and support from the fans. Your passion, loyalty, and warmth made it an honor (sic) to wear the Kilmarnock badge, and I’ll carry those memories with me forever. Kilmarnock will always have a place in my heart. I’m excited for the next chapter, but I’ll always be a supporter from afar and will be wishing the club nothing but success.”

A club statement added: “Everyone at Kilmarnock FC would like to thank Corrie for his outstanding contribution to the club and the way he represented Killie throughout his time in Ayrshire. We wish him every success in this exciting next chapter of his career in Italy.”
