Hotel killings may have been al–Qaeda
police say that a masked gunman believed to be a member of an al-Qaeda-linked Somalian group killed nine people in a hotel in the Kenyan city of Garissa on Thursday.
The attack may be retaliation for Kenyan and African Union operations against al-Shabaab militants in Somalia.
