Scottish SPCA appeal for information after dog with severe limp found abandoned in field
The dog had been left lying on a duvet.
A dog with a severe limp was found abandoned in a Scottish field on Valentine's Day.
The lurcher type dog was discovered by a member of the public in the village of Crawford, South Lanarkshire, on February 14.
The injured animal was lying on top of a duvet when it was found, prompting the passerby to call the Scottish SPCA, who have now launched an appeal for information.

An Animal Rescue Officer attended and took the dog to a veterinary surgeon after discovering that she had a severe limp.
She received pain relief and is now at the Scottish SPCA’s Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Glasgow, Cardonald where she will receive ongoing veterinary treatment and care. The dog is microchipped, but is not registered.
The charity is now looking to trace the owner. If you have any information about this or think you can help, get in touch with the Helpline on 03000 999 999.
